ke gaiyā ke bārah thanavā o bhaiyā, aba cuciyā tin sau sāṭh

jo more birahā ke aratha lagāve o bhayavā, te gāve hamāre sāth

maį tore birahā ke aratha lagā̈ų̄ e sakhiyā, tuma gāvo hamāre sāth
I.
Which cow has twelve udders, oh brother, and1 three hundred and sixty nipples?
II.
Whoever explains the meaning of my birahā, brother, he may sing with me.
III.
- (There are) twelve months in a year and1 three hundred and sixty days.
IV.
I explain the meaning of your birahā, sakhi, and (now) you sing with me.
