Yearbook for Dutch Book History
The Yearbook for Dutch Book History is an accessible periodical in the field of book history and book science in the Low Countries. The Yearbook aims at an international audience of book historians and book lovers and contains contributions in both Dutch and English. It deals with the entire history of the book from Late Antiquity until the present. The Yearbook offers a broad scala of approaches, from paleography and book illumination to reading culture and digital developments.
Yearbook articles typically present new research in an informative and readable format. Each issue contains a thematic section which is supplemented with other articles. A Yearbook may contain three types of contributions: the bulk consists of scholarly articles in either Dutch or English, which come with an extensive summary in the other language. Besides, review articles and conference reports are included. The aim of the review articles is to follow the national and international developments in the field by discussing newly published books in context. By means of English conference reports, the reader is kept up to date with regard to recent book historical research.
